Brief History
Chokkad convent is situated in a beautiful location near nilamboor in manathavady, surrounded by small hills and mountains santhisadan is a long realization of a long dream of sd sisters and the parishners. It is the first destitute home of mananthavady dioces established on sept 27th 1996 as the feast of st. Vincent de paul. Initiation of late sr. Celestine sd is appreciated by the diocese,locality and even the surrounding village. Now the santhisadan gives care for more than 60 ladies included mental patients.
